What local attractions are there?
- The World Heritage Site of Stonehenge is only eight miles away, with bus services running regularly.
- Three miles away is the ancient city of Salisbury where you can spend the day wandering around the beautiful city and visit its breathtaking Cathedral. Salisbury also boasts a large market held every Tuesday and Saturday, and a Farmer’s Market on a Wednesday morning.
- Just across the road from the hotel is Wilton House, the stately home of the Herbert family, and current home of The 18th Earl Of Pembroke. The House and Gardens are open to the public from mid March through until the end of October.
- Salisbury Play House has an extensive program of events and shows; the events diary is available at the bar of the hotel.
- Wilton shopping village is within walking distance from the hotel
Are Children allowed?
- Yes, and we have one family room.
What is there for children to do nearby?
- Wilton House is opposite the hotel and has a large adventure playground with gardens. The House and Gardens are open to the public from mid March through until the end of September.
- Longleat Safrai Park is just off the A36 between Salisbury and Bath, about a 30 minute drive from the hotel. Longleat is open daily from 5th April to the 2nd November, 10am to 4pm.
- Paultons Park is near Romsey with buses going regularly. The leisure park is open from 12th March through to 30th October.
- There are many other attractions for children in and around the Salisbury area and brochures describing many of these are available in the bar.
Are you open to non-residents?
- No. We are open to residents only. We are happy to provide functions facilities for parties of ten or more guests. Prices start at £35.00 per person and room hire may be levied depending on dates, times, function room and numbers of people attending.
Can we have a drink at the bar?
- Our bar is a function bar with limited products and open only when we have a function in the hotel. If you do want a drink and we are able to serve you, we will be happy to do so. Drinks would be served in the residents lounge.
Can we have an evening meal?
- Our restaurant is available for pre booked functions only. There are several pubs, cafes and shops nearby to suit all pockets.
What time is breakfast?
- Weekdays 7.30-9.30 weekends 8.00-10.00 We only serve Continental breakfast. We can provide cooked breakfast if you book all of our rooms and we charge £7.50pp but minimum charge is £120.00 (£15.00per room).

What time can I check in?
- You can check in from 3.00 pm to 10pm. If you need to check in later than 10pm, please let us know at the time of booking.
What time must I check out?
- You need to vacate your room by 11.00 am.
Can I smoke in the hotel?
- We operate a strict No Smoking policy in the hotel. Please see our charges in terms and conditions.
Do you discounts for long stays?
- Yes we do, but as our rates are extremely competitive, discounts will not be very large and typically would be the equivalent of £5-£10 per night, depending on the length of stay. As we get more bookings for a particular date, prices may go up for the remaining few rooms. We reserve the right to charge rack rate (non-discounted room price) on certain dates.
Why is the bar and restaurant closed?
- By not offering a bar and restaurant we are able to cut our costs down and offer our rooms at a more competitive rate. This enables us to let our rooms from as little as £55.00 a night including VAT.
